MONDAY
9:00 Check-in and meet the other campers and your counselors.

Safety lecture on camper behavior around horses. Get your horse assigned for the week. 

9:30 Learn how to properly groom and tack your horse, and how to handle them on the ground.

10:15 Riding lesson! You will learn the basics of position, balance, and how to control the horse while mounted.

11:30 Untack and learn how to care for the horse after a ride.

12:00 Done for the day.

TUESDAY

9:00 Arrive and get the horses you will work with for the day.  

9:30 Continue learning about groundwork by guiding your horse through obstacles and understanding how to make a horse follow your directions. 

10:15 Learn how to clean and properly prepare your tack for your lessons.

10:30 Riding Lesson; continue improving your skills.

11:30 Untack, clean up.

12:00 Done for the day.

WEDNESDAY

9:00 Arrive and get the horses you will work with for the day.
9:30 Continue improving the groundwork and grooming, tacking the horse in preparation for the ride.

10:30 Trail ride; Learn safe practices and how to control your horse out of the arena.

11:30 Untack, clean up.

12:00 12:00 Done for the day.

 

THURSDAY
9:00 Arrive and get the horses you will work with for the day. 

10:30 Discussion on preparing and riding in a horse show. 

Riding lesson with a focus on practice and preparing for the Friday show.

11:30 Untack, clean up.

12:00 Done for the day.

 

FRIDAY HORSE SHOW DAY!
9:00 Arrive and get the horses you will work with for the day. 

PREPARE YOUR HORSE AND TACK for the show.

HORSE SHOW (time tbd) Friends and family welcome, (while staying socially distanced) to have a wonderful time while campers show off their new horsemanship skills.

MONDAY
12:00 Check-in and meet the other campers and your counselors.

Safety lecture on camper behavior around horses. Get your horse assigned for the week. 

12:30 Properly groom and tack your horse. Fitting the saddle correctly to the horse with proper padding and wraps and boots for the horses legs.

1:15 Riding lesson! Dressage Lesson, Training Level 1, test 1. 

2:15 Untack care for the horse after a ride.

3:00 Done for the day.

TUESDAY

12:00 Arrive and get the horses you will work with for the day.  

12:30 Continue learning how to bend and balance your horse correctly on the flat then, Cross Country jumping. 

1:30 Learn how to clean and properly prepare your tack for a horse show.

Show prepping the horse, clipping and bathing. Continue improving your horsemanship skills.

2:30 Untack, clean up.

3:00 Done for the day.

WEDNESDAY

12:00 Arrive and retrieve the horses you will work with for the day. Train the horse to lunge with voice commands and body language.
Continue improving the groundwork and grooming, tacking the horse in preparation for the ride.

1:30 Trail ride; Learn safe practices on the trail and how to control your horse out of an arena.

2:30 Untack, clean up.

3:00 Done for the day.

 

THURSDAY
12:00 Arrive and get the horses you will work with for the day.
